Open Volunteer Positions in Pack 912
Popcorn Kernel ***HIGH PRIORITY***
Set up the Pack for popcorn sales and ensure all scouts are registered
Use the online portal to pick up popcorn show-n-sell shifts for the Pack
Keep popcorn inventory and prepare it for the show-n-sell booths each weekend
Track sales and inventory to reorder and pickup as needed
Assist families with their popcorn sales questions
Run reports periodically for the Cubmaster
Time Commitment: Almost all of the work for this job is done August through October
Committee Chair
Oversee recharter in December
Attend District Roundtables (second Thursday of each month)
Provide support to den leaders
Coordinate with the Chartered Organization Representative as needed
Events Coordinator
Help oversee pack events such as Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet, and a Spring Fundraiser
Delegate tasks to Chairs of each event as needed to ensure the event runs smoothly
Update the pack of any other opportunities for scouts in the area
Recruiting/Onboarding Chair (starting 2024-2025 Scout year)
Coordinate with associated schools to have tables at events such as Kindergarten Roundup (usually in April/May), Meet the Teacher Night, Open House, etc.
Order information flyers from Council and bring them to the schools to distribute to students
Run a Parent Information Night at each school (ASE & WPE)
Add new families and scouts to the Pack website
Send welcome email to new families as they join the Pack with login information and link to registration page
Blue & Gold Banquet Chair
Plan and execute Blue & Gold Banquet in February
Includes securing location and catering
Plan decorations & theme
Pinewood Derby Chair
Plan and execute Pinewood Derby in January
Includes securing location and track from Chartered Organization
Assistant CubmasterÂ
Help Cubmaster with events and Pack Meetings
Be able to step in when Cubmaster isn't available
Help new Den Leaders with their first meetings as needed
Potential to take over as Cubmaster (starting early 2026 at the latest)
